Thirty-four students, ages 8 through 17, are now enrolled in the school. The students come from all over the world to study music with Menuhin and other distinguished faculty members. General education is also provided. Lincoln is one of six stops on the group's American tour. The students will live in private homes during their 3-day stay. Concerts and other goings-on have been few and far between. Students this winter seem to have been spending their time going to films and drinking and staying home. It may be that even streaking was just a form of entertainment, something to brighten up a dull winter. There is so little going on this week, I almost wrote this column on the Pre-Vets Club, who, in case you're interested, will watch the spaying of a dog tonight. It certainly seems unusual entertainment, at least. However, events unprecedented are on the horizon. Four very big names in poprock music will be here in concert the week after spring break. Todd Rundgren, the Pointer Sisters, the J. Geils Band and Bachman-Turner Overdrive all will be in town to entertain music-hungry students. The imminence of such a week might be signaling s turn for the better in the energy problem. Pershing Auditorium has presented few rock concerts this last year because rock bands have been traveling much less due to fuel and money shortages, both on their parts and those of potential audiences. done wonek h- 3 ' 1 R t Br t c Hopefully, then, after the spring break there will be no replies of "Nothing" to "What is there to do tonight?"
