That point was made by law student Ann Trombley, one of five women in a pane! discussion Thursday afternoon of the law and how it affects women. The panel discussion, sponsored by the YWCA in conjunction with the "We're Opening Doors for People" women's week activities, was attended by about 50 women and one man. Trombley, who was a delegate to the 1972 Democratic National Convention and was past president of the National Organization of Women (NOW), said she is angry with women. Police report UNL student suicide victim A UNL student committed suicide Thursday, according to the Lincoln Police Dept. Sources told the Daily Ncbraskan that the student was John Kemper and that the suicide occurred in the Kappa Sigma fraternity house agout 1 p.m. Thursday. According to the UNL Buzz Book, Kemper was an Alliance, Neb., freshman majoring in medicine and a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity. Women must get involved with the women's movement and talk to senators and lobbysits about bills affecting women, she said. Donna Polk, a member of the Nebraska Commission on the Status of Women, said a declaration of war on discrimination is imperative. She cited the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission (EEOC) as an ally in the war and said that if one has a reason to believe she has been discriminated gainst, she can file a complaint with the EEOC, . State Sen. Shirley Marsh said most legislation which concerns women is still on general file and it is likely that they will not be acted upon during this session of the Legislature.
