Assembly
on energy
scheduled
Students and faculty will have a chance
to hsar arguments about the energy crisis at
a special assembly, "The Energy Crisis-Real
or Contrived?", Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in the
Nebraska Union.
The assembly is presented in connection
with National Charter Week, Feb. 1 1 -1 5,
which marks the 105th anniversary of the
founding of UNL.
Speakers at the assembly will be Milton
Russell, professor of economics at Southern
Illinois University; Willis Meyer, consulting
geologist in Dallas, Tex.; and James
Newman, acting regional administrator of
the Federal Energy Regional Office at
Kansas City.
Speakers will discuss alternative energy
sources, the current government forecast on

energy crisis, according to Prof. John
Fagerstrom, chairman of the Geology Dept.
UNL Chancellor James Zumberge will
