cJoi L f (fS CQfl Fuel crisis to affect sports Take me out to the ballgame, to enjoy a relaxing afternoon or evening of athletic competition after a tough day at work. Take me out to the ballgame, to spend some time away from home and get away from my normal daily routine. Take me out to the ballgame, maybe no more for awhile. Because with no gas in my car, I may not be able to get to the ballpark. Or if I do, they may not be playing any games there, especially if I go at night. There will be an increased emphasis on geographic considerations in scheduling. Item: Night sports may be curtailed significantly, and this will burden both fans and club managements. Most owners expect a serious attendance drop since working men and women aren't able to come to a sporting event durina davtime working hours. Item: Certain entire sports, such as auto and powerboat racing, may feel the public's and the government's wrath over fuel consumption and be cut back to little or no activity until the fuel crisis is over. In an age when everyone's leisure time often seems to be at a premium, the relaxation and entertainment benefits offered by organized sports on all levels will be sorely missed if the energy crisis follows its present trends. spores Heisman Trophy by the New York Downtown Athletic Club Tuesday ? iol ilt !! 2l! iyp Today is the last day for students who participated in .
