it was as bad as some of the players said,
but that might have been because of
where I was sitting."
Dickey said she thought that the spirit
generally was better than it had been in
the first home games, when the spirit
groups, the marching band and the
rheerleading squads had difficulty
coordinating their activity.
Krause contended though that from
the viewpoint of the stands, "the
cheerleaders don't do that much."

Dickey said one explanation was "last
year we were so far ahead, I think the
people just quit yelling."
She said the adjustment will take
quite a while for fans who are used to
seeing huge margins of victory.
Krause said Osborne has his own style
and should not be compared with past
coaches. "I think he is rather quietspoken
for a football coach." she said.
"I think he takes more of a
psychological approach. People don't
realize it now, but I think it will be very
effective eventually," she said.
"It doesn't seem like the fans are getting
psyched up for the games anymore, but
they should, just like the team does," she
continued. "I don't know, I'm just as
excited about them."
Dickey said that she thinks most fans
still support the team and are not
thinking about its overall performance.
She added that with a new coach, it is
easy for fans to try to blame someone for
the less spectacular game which Nebiaska
is currently playing.
