Frosh gridders prepare for their Sept. 28 season opener.
intramural program expands;
adds water festival, bike rally
By Bob Hill
"We have always received a
favorable response to our
intramural program, and this
year we look for even mote
participation than ever," men's
intramural coordinator Phil
Sienna said.
He said that in the two

intramurals at UNL, the
program has grown about 40

New events scheduled this
year include innertube water
basketball, punt, pass and kick
competition, a bicycle rally, a
basketball marathon,
one -on -one basketball
competition and a watet
festival that includes water
basketball and water polo.
Also new this yeai is Class C

regulations. The new rules limit
the intramural participation of
athletes who compete on UNL
teams.
