( Add classes through Sept. 4 for $5 All students will have the opportunity to change fall class schedules at the regular drop and add session in the Union, Aug. 27-31. According to Ted Preifer of registration and records, many students took advantage of the free drop and add session during the summer, but students may still add classes through Sept. 4 by paying a $5 fee. The offices will be closed Labor Day, Sept. 3. , To obtain a time appointment card, students should present a completed and signed drop and add form at Window No. 5 street floor of the administration building from 8 a.m. to noon or 1 to 4 p.m. The pink copy or the registration form also will be required. The $5 fee may be waived if the schedule change is a result of University error, according to Pfeifer. For instance, if a course was cancelled or a time change by the department caused a schedule conflict. Pfeifer said that Sept. 4 is the last day to add classes. Lab-type courses must be dropped by Sept. 21 and others may be dropped until Oct. 19. He advised students to obtain a class schedule and carefully follow the instructions since the schedule contains all the necessary information and deadlines. Lawrence Bundy of registration advising reminded new students of the meetings with their advisers scheduled for 4 p.m. today. He said freshmen had been notified of the meeting. "Students should know who their adviser is and work with him, particularly for drop and add," he said. "If a student doesn't know who his adviser is, he should get this information from his department or come to Rm. 108, Administration Building." Parking permits on sale now Parking permits for the 1973-74 school year are on sale today through Wednesday at the coliseum from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Permits cost $15 for cars and $10 for motorcycles and are good through the summer of 1974. Permits may be purchased beginning Thursday at Campus Security, 1024 Avery Ave. University parking tickets to students without a sticker cost $10 each, although the first $10 can go towards the purchase of a permit, if the ticket was issued in the same semester. Students with permits can expect to pay $1 for the first two tickets, $3 for the second two tickets, $5 for the next three tickets and $10 for each additional ticket. Tickets are to be paid or appealed within two weeks of their issuance. Appeals should be directed to the Student Parking Appeals Board by filling out an appeal form at Campus Security. Parking fines can be paid at Campus Security or at the Bursar's Office, 204 Administration. If parking fines are not paid, parking privileges may be revoked, future registration denied and illegally-parked vehicles removed. doily nebraskan Editor in-Chief : Michael (O.J.) Nelson.
