Full film schedule planned
for Sheldon theatre in fall
The Sheldon Art Museum
tin? litre will be busy this fall.
Dan Ladely, who was hired
to manage the museum theatre,
has lined up movies for six
nights on some weeks this fall
and he says students, faculty
and staff can use the theatre at
other times.
Ladely said a series of ten
evenings of Charlie Chaplin
movies will be shown on
Fiiday and Saturday nights at
7 and 9 p.m. Admission will be
$1.25 for students, $1.50 for
i ion students. Season tickets
will be available to students for
SI 0 and to non-students for
S12.60.
The series will start with
The Kid and Idle Class on Sept.
7 and 8. Season tickets will be
available at Sheldon and
probably the Union, Ladely
said. Tickets also will be sold at
the door.
Seven Lively Arts
On Sunday at 3 p.m. this
fall Sheldon will show the
Seven Lively Arts Series. The
series is co sponsored by the
UNI... Instructional Media
Center, which owns a copy of
the senes. The series can be

Also at Sheldon this fall will
be William Shakespeare's "A
Midsummer Nights Dream"
and "Henry V". The 1935
version of "A Midsummer
Night's Dream", star ring James
Cagney, Olivia de Havilland,
Dick Powell, Mickey Rooney
and Joe E. Brown, will be
shown Oct. 9.
"Henry V", made in 1944,
will be shown Nov. 6. It stars
Laurence Olivier, Robert
Newoon, Leslie Banks, Renee
Asherson and Esmond Knight.
Both films will be shown at
3, 7 and 9 p.m. and a $1
admission will be charged.
New to UNL
Film Maker's Showcase,
new to the UNL, will feature
Richard Meyers on Sept. 11,
12 and 13. Meyers, who
teaches at Kent State
University, will be on campus
speaking during the day and
showing his films in the
evening.
His films include The Path,
First Time Here, Coronation,
Akran, Wood Assemblage,
Hiram Upward Bound and
Everybody Knows Fay Wray.
Animated film maker Suzan
Pitt Kraning also will be on

Circus Songs, A City Trip, Cels
and Bowl, Theatre, Garden,
Marble Game.
The Foreign Film Series will
be shown at Sheldon for the
first time. The Series will be on
Tuesday, Wednesday and
Thursday nights at 7 and 9
p.m. every other week.
Films alternate
The foreign films will
alternate with the Union
Special Film Series which will
be shown on Wednesdays.
"We hope the Lincoln
audience will pick up on
movies, these kinds of choices
nave not been available in the
