The observatory is to be
used by astronomy students
and faculty at UNL. Public
viewing programs will be held
every month.

Festival features folklore, art
Various aspects of Latin Amencm
culture including art, folklote, htei aturv inni
foieign affairs, will be the focus of U'slL's
Latin Ameiican Spiing Festival m Apr 1 1 ,

The festival is co-sponsored by the UNL
Institute for International Studies and
various UNL departments. It originated after
the institute received requests from students
and faculty to show some aspects of Latin
American life, Esquenazi-Mayo said. The
director said he hopes the festival will
become annual.
Such a festival is needed at UNL breve, e
"many misconceptions still exist alrout I atm
America," Esquenai Mayo s.mi. "Latin
American often is lumped together as a unit,
without keeping in mind that each country
is a separate entity."
