Plant's name back on ballot Lancaster County Flection Commissioner Bill Davidson Monday placed J. James Plant's name back on the Lincoln primary ballot. Davidson earlier had dropped Plant's name because Plant had an insufficient number of valid signatures on his petition. However, Davidson said that Secretary of State Allen Beermann had advised him that under a section of the state election laws, signatures were valid as long as the voter had not moved out of the precinct. Originally 33 signatures had been ruled invalid by Davidson. More than half showed addresses different from the address on the registration form in the election commissioner's office. A re-check of Plant's petition revealed that a sufficient number of persons remained in the same precinct. ASK FOR GRADUATE bi page 7 Wednesday, march 21, 1973 daily nebraskan
