page 8b roses Continued from page 7b tour of the University, followed by a noon luncheon at the University Club. That night is the second event open to the public. It is a panel discussion involving the six officers and will take place in the Centennial Room at 7:30 p.m. Wally Dean, an Omaha newsman will be moderator. Danberg said they will discuss "changes in the Greek system and what has happened nationally." Unity and leadership were cited by committee members as main objectives of Greek Week. Perry also spoke about "developing a better relationship between the Greeks and independents." Anderson said that in the past, activities like this would not have been acceptable to Greeks. She explained that then emphasis was on individuality and that there was a feeling that an activity wouldn't be successful if many people were involved. She said that in the past, sororities and fraternities didn't work together as much as they have for this Greek Week. Frank Hallgren, director of placement and former IFC adviser, said there is a cycle of interest among students, and that about five years ago interest in all activities diminished, not just Greek Week. "Anything traditional was bad, whether it was Greek Week, Ivy Day, or whatever," he said. Many activities were done away with and Greek Week should help "fill the vacuum", he added. Committee members were encouraged by reactions to the astronauts' visit and were hopeful that Greek Week again would become an annual affair. &MK1'1BMWintBM9V BMP1 WBWUflP I . . - ah,' 'if?', .rtNV v r 1 Astronauts . dodicaled space capsule last week. 2 tw uwnMMnllaii
