Weather stalls
Environment talks
The weather apparently
stalled the Environmental
Information Series Wednesday
evening.
After apologies from Bill
Freudenburg, chairman of the
AS UN Environmental Task
F orce, the crowd that had
braved the cold left the
Nebraska Union.
Fern Farris was to speak on
chemicals and preservatives in
food. She was to substitute for
Jan Postlewait, the speaker
originally scheduled.
Accroding to Freudenburg,
Postlewait is the editor of
Greenpower magazine and a
member of the organization
with the same name. The group
is involved in organic gardening
and natural foods.
The speeches in the
Environmental Information
Series are sponsored jointly by
the ASUN Environmental Task
Force and the Union Talks and
Topics Committee. William
Wayne, UNL geology
professor, will speak next
Wednesday on the hydrologic '
cycle.
