ASUN Legislative Liaison Committee needs your help on the following projects: To Block the Governor's Tuition increase: in the name of "tax relief" the Governor wants to increase what we and our parents pay while cutting what we get. To get a New Life Science Building: Either by a grant from revenue sharing money or making sure there is adequate funding in the Budget. To Have a Constitutional Amendment Placed Before the People to Establish a Student Regent: The bill has already been introduced, it's up to us to get it passed. To Have Minimum Wage for Students Guaranteed: Senator Chambers has introduced a bill that establishes our work as valuable as anyone else's. To Stop the Cut-off of Funds for Intramurals & Recreation, the Union, Student Health, ASUN, and the Daily Nebraskan: Believe it or not a student fee bill is back. It would cut-off funds for the programs, but you'd still have to pay for the buildings. To Work for the Uniform Residential Landlord and Tenant Act: How many times have you wanted to tell your landlord where to go, but had no place to send him? This bill would give you a place. We need your help on any or all of these projects. If you can talk andor read there's something you can do. Call the ASUN Office at 472-2581 and ask for Ann Henry or Mark Hoeger or come to a regular meeting, Tuesday nights at 9:00 p.m. in the Union (room posted). 4 4i.-4.ip : UvJjit 1 , .. ,.r CENTER FOR EDUCATIONAL change report AGENDA The Center for Educational Change is currently working on three projects.
