O Bo's by Mary Voboril They complain about the price of beef, parking lot conditions and snail-paced waiting lines, but almost any night of the week the college aged crowd knows the place to go is Littie Bp. Which is why Little Bohemia has had to expand its buildings three times in the last three years. And why Bo's budgets $200,000 a year just for entertainment. And why Little Bo is the fifth largest distributor of Budweiser beer in the United States. Why does Little Bo, now in its 34th year of business, hold such magnetism for the area's under-30 set? Reuben (Red) Worster, who with Don Vanous and Merlin Slosson own Bo's East, Bo's West and an adjacent off-sale, said young people continue their nightly migration to Bo's not jUSt for drinking (day nobraskan 'because they know they're getting a hell of a lot for their money." Bo's has no cover charge, even for such nationally known performers as Doug Kershaw, Glass Menagerie, Hello People, Cricket, the Sheffields and D.D. Smith. Bo's entertainment, priced at about $4,000 for two groups a week, is Bo's main attraction, according to Vanous. "Bo's isn't just another place to drink," he said. The owners admit they cater to collegiates. From the walls of the brick and board structures hang illuminated posters that highlight big moments in the Big Eight and other leagues. Nebraska No. 1 banners, Husker helmets and other Big Red memorabilia dot the walls to accomodate Nebraska football freaks.
