Appeals rule added to CSL procedures by Adella Wacker The Council of Student Life procedural rules were readied for approval next week, including final changes made at Thursday night's regular meeting. A clause was included to allow direct app. als to CSL in emergencies without first going through the Council Appeals Committee, which is usually necessary. This was done mainly as a result of Kathy Smith's appeal for an emergency CS L session after her second attendant spot in the October 27 Homecoming Queen election was temporarily eliminated. A clause insurina follow-un of rsi mmmittoo recommendations was also inserted, desionatinn main responsibility to the CSL chairman. A good deal of time CSL SDent throwina out iHpfli anH approaches to draw out needed areas for CSL involvement. This came after a suqqestion that CSL meeting he hPlH bi-monthly instead of weekly, mainly in an effort to stay away from the "having to make business" syndrome. Council members aqieed other means should hp ;nnnht to maintain CSL as a potent force on campus. Reviving the "quality of student life" approach taken when CSL was first created was suggested. This would include attempting to sift ideas from Specific groups-married students, for example. The council decided to extend an invitation to all students to present their concerns about the quality of student life at 7 p.m. next Thursday. Ombusdsman Jim Suter will be at that meeting. A preliminary parking study also is to be presented. SAVE MORE AT DIVIDEND campus bookstore Open Thurs. Nites Starting Nov. 16 bin 12th & Qu $IP pitchti -12-00500 CLOSEST TO i CAMPUS '(only 300ft.)
