"A student should be able to sell his own football ticket without the University spanking his hand," said Vern Broders, College of Business Administration senator. "A ticket is the student's own property and he should use it like he wants to," Broders, who introduced the resolution, added.' Broder's resolution asks Zumberge to direct the Athletic Department to stop confiscation of student tickets. The resolution also directs the Council on Student Life (CSL) to investigate University ticket policies and directs the ASUN Legal Rights Committee to hire a lawyer to study the problem. The senate also approved a committee study on the relationship between ASUN and CSL, which has authority over all non-academic matters on campus. LeRoy Ramsey, director of Minority Affairs,, spoke to the senate on the functions of his office. He said Minority Affairs , includes special services (federal assistance to certain minority students) but "goes beyond that concept." , Ron Gierhan, UNL discipline officer, also presented the newly written Code of Conduct and Disciplinary Procedures developed by CSL to the senate. The body plans to discuss the code next week. Other senate business included the selection of seven senators for the Senate Budget Committee, which allocates funds to student organizations. Committee members are: Behrooz Emam, George Rhodes, Marcia Hale, Mark Molacek, Stephen Lewis, Ron Frank and Marsha Porter.
