Prokop said his remarks merely represent a general stand on the workload issue and are not directed at any specific University group or official. His primary interest, he said, is to develop standards by which to measure faculty members' work. "As a regent, I feel it is most appropriate to have workloads measured in some quantitative means understandable to the public," Prokop said. "This is important to the faculty, administration and the student body at the University, as well as to those of us who must evaluate the budget prior to its submission to the Legislature. f, : "Whether regents, faculty or -administration devise the formulation in an impartial manner," the regent continued, "would make little difference to me." Prokop suggested that state Sen. Richard Marvel, chairman of the Legislature's budget committee and a college professor himself, might make the best judge on the workload question, .
