Kyros- Husk smallest ;er looks for first win by Kent Seacrest Defensive veterans Joe Blahak and Willie Harper have experienced what it is like to win as Nebraska varsity football players 24 times. They have lost only one game and tied another. On the other hand, George Kyros, another defensive starter, has never won a game as a varsity Cornhusker. Besides being the only starter (both defensively and offensively) never to have won a game, Kyros is the smallest Husker starter. Kyros, a sophomore, stands 5'9" and weighs only 155 pounds. At first glance one might think he was a wee bit small to be playing college football. Kyros would probably agree with you. But that doesn't stop him from trying. In fact he has succeeded in becoming the Huskers No. 1 defensive safety. "One day before the first game, somebody walked into the locker room carrying two footballs to be autographed," Kyros said. "He asked for everybody's signature but me. In fact he passed by me twice and each time he looked at me and went on to the next player.
