RHA proposes summer storage in dormitories The UNL Residence Hall Association (RHA) has forwarded a resolution to the Housing Office asking that returning dormitory residents be allowed to store personal property in their rooms over the summer. Housing policy currently prohibits students from leaving property in the rooms because it might interfere with maintenance done during the summer, according to Residence Hall Coordinator Wayne Kuncl. The RHA resolution provides hat property would be stored "efficiently, in such a way that (it does not) interfere with regular maintenance." Although special storage rooms are available in the dormitories for holding property over the summer, RHA representative Al Thorson said they were too small to accomodate everyone. The resolution further asks that returning Cather Hall residents be allowed to keep their specially constructed beds intact if they meet safety requirements, even though that dormitory will be occupied during the summer. Thorson said some Cather residents have constructed bunk beds to better utilize floor space in their rooms.
