Ritzy commune PACE Day features football, music Seniors on the Cornhusker football squad and UNL faculty and administration members are making final preparations for a flag football game to be held in Memorial Stadium 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Bruce Douthit, coordinator of the event, said the flag football game, a bicycle race and a rock concert are being staged Saturday to raise funds for the Program of Active Commitment to Education (PACE). Admission is $1 for students and $1.50 for others. The PACE program was established by ASUN in 1970 to bolster the financial assistance available to low-income students at UNL. Air proceeds from the activities Saturday will go to the PACE program, Douthit said. The faculty -staff football team will include Fred Anderson, Ed Bowe, Dick Brown, George Brown, Larry Bundy, Dick Dinsmore, Ade Fiala, Ron Fritz, Ron Gierhan, Dan Greer, Al Grignon, John Janovy, Steve Kalish. Phil Layne, Bob Lovitt, Fred Luthans, Dick Metcalf, Andy Miller, Ben Rader, Jack Ritchie, Pat Scanlon, Ted Schneyer, Glen Schumann, Jerry Sherman, Phil Sienna, Rick Spano. Dick Strait, Daryl Swanson, Gary Thomas, Virgil Ward, Del Weed, Tom Wet and Jim Wobig. Members of the Cornhusker senior football squad will include: Jim Anderson, Van Brownson, Woody Cox, Larry Jacobson, Carl Johnson, Jeff Kimey, Bill Kosch, Dick Rupert, Jerry Tagge, Bob Terrio, Keith Wortman, John Adkins, Ernie Britt, Gary Hollstein, William Holmes, Jeff Hughes, George Jones, Kenneth Kontos, Dan Schneiss, Bill Bomberger and Tom McClelland. "The key is to find the balance between your group experience and your individual experience," he said. A communal living situation usualfy arouses curiosity about sexual interaction among its members, Stephen said. Romantic relationships between members of the house are generally taboo, Toni said. Stephen said he feels it is healthy to live around members of the opposite sex. It allows people to be put in proper perspective, he said. People learn to understand others first as people, and then as men or women, he said.
