It will be held ' in conjunction with National Bikecology Week, May 1 to May 7. The following is a schedule of events for Lincoln's Bikecology Week. Saturday, April 29: UNL tudanti will hold a 20-mila raca for tha Program for Actlva Commitment to Education, starting at 9:30 a.m. at Memorial Stadium. To be eligible to antar, one mutt ba a full time UNL student sponsored by a recognized campus organization or living unit. There Is a $1.50 entry fea. Tha Huskar vs. faculty flag football game will ba held during tha course of tha raca. Monday, May 1: Tha Lincoln Klwanis Club bicycle rodeo at Prescott School at 6:00 p.m. Winners will receive trophies and prizes. The Lincoln Jaycees will make repairs and adjustments , before each of tha scheduled bike rodeos. The events are for boys and girls in the 6th grade and under. At the Northeast YMCA from 7:30 to 9 p.m., employees from several Lincoln bike shops will conduct a "team to do it" bicycle repair clinic. Everyone Is invited to attend and ask questions. Tuesday, May 2: Klwanis bike rodeo with the Jaycees making repairs will start at 6 p.m. at Northeast High School. Wednesday, May 3: A bike ride for housewives from 10 to 11 a.m. The group will leave the Antelope Pavilion and will ba led by Donna Frobhardt. A City Recreation . employe. Jaycees. will provide free babysitting for any housewife who would like to go on this ride. Registration of bicycles will be held at the north side of the Nebraska Union from 1 to 3 p.m. The Kiwanis bike rodeo is slated for 6 to 8 p.m. at Southeast High School. Thursday, May 4: A mini-bus tour of possible future bike paths leaving the County-City Building at 11:30 a.m. and returning at 1:30 p.m. The tour will cover areas from Wilderness Park to the Children's Zoo. '" The bike rodeo will ba held at Ruth Pyrtle School from 6 to 8 p.m. The second bicycle repair clinic will be at the Southeast YMCA from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, May S: The Kiwanis bike rodeo at Hartley School from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday. May 6: A historical bicycle tour to Roc a and back (approximately 30 miles), leaving the State Capitol at 9 a.m. Bill Wayne will lead the tour which will accompanied by a truck with repair and first-aid equipment. Sunday. May 7: A group will leave the State Capitol at 9 a.m. for Pioneer Park, where, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., general bike races will be held.
