Multibook grabs highest honor The 1971 Cornhusker Multibook has been rated All-American by the Associate Collegiate PressNational Scholastic Press Association, placing it in the top 15 per cent of all college yearbooks rated by the association. All-American is the highest award given, followed by first, second and third class. Except for 1969, the Cornhusker has won the title every year since 1960, according to editor Jody Beck. The national rater called last year's bood "exciting, imaginative, very readable and attractive, a superior yearbook in concept and execution. The editorial commentary is mature and well balanced." Under the editorship of Bill Ganzel, the annual earned four out of five marks of distinction in photography, display, coverage and concept. The rating service was recently revised to include such new and non traditional approaches as the multibook. Unlike last year's book, the 197 '2 Cornhusker will be hardbound. Shelley Thornton, art editor, said the book will be entirely new and original. It is entitled the 1972 Cornhusker or "Alice's Adventures In Wonder School andor Through the Annual Book." After researching Lewis Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland," the staff has drawn parallels to the University, extracting some quotes from Carroll's work. It will also include some art work similar to Alice in Wonderland Books of the early 1900's, Thornton said. Beck said "The theme is used just enough to draw the book together and create interest." Instead of individual mug shots for group and organizations, each will have one collective picture. Many non-staff writers will write their own copy. The Regents, Chacellor D..B. Varner, club members, and football players-including Johnny Rodgers-will contribute to the 1 972 Cornhusker Students will be able to purchase a 1972 Cornhusker Jan. 31 Feb. 4 from sales representatives in the Nebraska Union and campus living units. "This is the only country in the world which outlaws hitchhiking," DeCamp said. The bill will be among four others heard Thursday at 2 p.m. in room 2102 of the State Capitol.
