    Rap line begins service
The University of Nebraska
Gay Action Group has begun
staffing a Gay Rap Line for
students and members of the
Lincoln community.
According to Doug Weiss, a
group spokesman, the
telephone will be staffed
Monday thru Saturday from
6-12 p.m. in the group's office
in UMHE.
Telephone number for the
service is: 475-5710.
"We want to provide a
means for a person to make a
totally anonymous call to a
person who is gay, to rap about
gayness," Weiss said.
A similar telephone service
was provided last year and
Weiss called it "quite
successful."
Weiss felt the rap line served
as a "safety valve" for
individuals who are
emotionally troubled about
homosexual tendencies.
