charity. AUF conducts an
annual student drive in the fall
and a faculty drive in the
spring.
The AUF drive is an
all-University program in which
all living units on UNL campus
participate. Each living unit has
a representative for the
purpose of organizing
solicitation campaigns which
include selling various products
and door to door solititation.
The theme for the 1971
drive is "Love-Give". This
years drive began October 4
and will continue to November
12.
Four charities are selected
each year by student vote.
Approximately $1,200 is
donated to each of these.
The four charities this year
are The American Cancer
Society, Planned Parenthood,
Personal Crisis Service, and the
Nebraska Community for
Children and Youth.
The American Cancer
Society is a voluntary
association of people united in
a determination to conquer
cancer. The Society seeks to
save lives by educating the
public, improving medical and
social services for the cancer
patient, and broadening
research programs.
Planned Parenthood is a
voluntary health agency
primarily concerned in helping
parents plan the size of their
families through the use of
birth control measures.
Personal Crisis Service,
founded in 1970, is a 24-hour
telephone service. It's purpose
is to provide relief for persons
under emotional stress.
Nebraska Community For
Children and Youth is centered
on organizing the youth of
Nebraska so that they can help
work with all elements of
society in solving various
problems.

Regents in the current case,
and a petition signed by Ross.
Both documents contained
Rozman's name along with
those of students.
"I came to think the
document was one, and
assumed I was being accused
personally," Rozman said.
Healy asked Rozman if he
had believed "things in the
affidavit were inaccurate."
"Yes," Rozman answered.
Healey: "Do you believe it
to this day?"
"Yes," Rozman answered.
Rozman also testified about
the Spelts Commission report
and his involvement with the
Holtzclaw Committee.
He also related that he has
had no academic employment
since his termination at UNL.
He said he has earned "about
$200" since his last payment
from the University.
Thursday morning
testimony by Regent J. G.
Elliot disclosed the Regents
held an "informal" meeting
Feb. 5, 1971 at which Rozman
was discussed. At the Regents'
public meeting Feb. 6 the
resolution to not rehire
Rozman was approved without
discussion.
Rozman later testified that
he had been told "the
arrangement by the Regents
was for a private meeting and
that I could not attend" the
Feb. 5 meeting.

Once a song becomes
popular it belongs to the
whole world.
You hum it Whistle it.
Try to pick it out on your
guitar.
Well now there's never
been an easier way to buy
the words and music to
current hits, because now
there's a magazine called
Words and Music.
It only costs $1. And for
your dollar every issue gives
you the words and music
of 8 to 10 top current songs.
For instance, our first
issue which is on sale now,
gives you the words and
music to top hits by The
Doors, The Bee Gees, 3 Dog
Night, Isley Brothers, Helen
Reddy, Bill Withers, Paul
UNL President D. B. Varner
testified that the resolution
had been prepared by himself
and Wright during "the
48-hour peiod preceding the
meeting."
He said there had been
"some limited discussion" of
the resolution at what he called
a "private dinner meeting" on
Feb. 5 and "limited if any"
discussion at the next day's
public meeting.
Varner also testified he had
received a telephone call from
D. Ray Lyndley, president of
the University of the Americas
in Puebla, Mexico. Rozman
had received a contract to
teach at that university but had
been unable to receive working
papers from the Mexican
government.

UNL political science
instructors Raphael Zariski and
Ivan Volgyes appeared, as did
Carroll McKibbin, chairman of
the UNL political science
department.
Zariski called Rozman a
"very fine scholar" and
McKibbin agreed Rozman is

well-qualified."
Volgyes testifed that he had
been with Rozman at the
UMHE meeting and later at the

he had neither observed any

violent statements at the
ROTC building.
