    Wall rich exnlains Tivino revolution
by H. J. Cummins
A growing crowd in the
Ncbiuska Union Lounge
Monday listened to Burt
Wallrich of the InstituteRocky
Mountain explain his
cooperative's "two-pronged
attack against American social
ills."
One of the founders of the
Denver "community for living
revolution," Wallrich said the
institute's "creative programs
on a day-to-day basis try to
build social structures we
like -we're not waiting till after
the revolution."
Secondly, he said, "we're
trying to say 'no' to those
things we don't like by
leafletting, picketing, civil
disobedience and other
means."
The members of the
Institute say: "We act on the
assumption that the Indochina
war, racism, sexism, ecological
disaster, poverty, and
oppressive schools are not
isolated mistakes but signs of a
sick society."
Wallrich said he personally
believes in non-violent protest
but can no longer feel
confident enough to tell
anyone "what they must be."
He said he believes he's
found the clue to activating

Wallrich said "the most

American life is fear," and
named the educational system
as one of the culture's main

"We have to subordinate
ourselves to a system- learn to

Americans per day will

that number of deaths in the

Wallrich said.
The "living dead" will

department will be faced with
"mounting numbers" of
prisoners daily.
