that the new voters should be
encouraged, not discouraged
from registering and voting.
"I think the major technique
in registration is accessibility;
we haven't made it accessible...
we should make it possible to
register on high school and
college campuses," Dyas
added.
Democrat., Wallace C.
Peterson, professor of
economics at UNL, also agreed
that everything possible should

new voters.
Following a survey he
conducted on the possible
effects of the new voters in
Nebraska, Peterson suggested
the responsibility for voter
registration should be shifted
from the county to the state.
