And the first Nebraska crew team in the University's history will make its debut Sunday at Branched Oak Lake near Malcolm. Washburn of Kansas, a school with also limited experience, will be the opponent. Two races will be held, starting at 2 p.m. It is about a 20 minute drive to Branched Oak Lake' from the Lincoln campus. A suggested route is to follow 10th Street north which leads into Highway 34. "Washburn is in about the same situation as we are and I think we have a good chance of winning." Nebra ska's team is inexperienced. But that's the idea. Weed science research lab to be dedicated The new weed science facility operated by the Agronomy Department will be dedicated Friday at 2:30 p.m. The new facility makes it possible to conduct research on a 12 month basis to help solve some of the practical weed control problems encountered across the state. Dedicatory remarks will be made by President Joseph Soshnik. Principal speaker at the program will be former agronomy department staff member Dayton L.
