The wind pressed against
the walls, but inside the
day-care center it was warm
and quiet.
Morning brought about 15
children to the center in the
basement of the United
Ministries of Higher Education
building.
In the renovated basement,
the center opened last
November with supplies
donated in part by ASUN The
center is free to 3- to
5-year-old children of
University students.
It is open from 7:30 a.m.
to 5:30 p.m. when classes are
in session,, according to Doris
Johnston, student assistant.
The number of children varies
from 22 to 3 during the day
depending on the class
schedues of the parents, she
said.
Parents wishing to send
their children to the day-care
center can apply at the
Financial Aids Office in the
Administration Building. A
joint effort of ASUN and the
Financial Office produced
the center.
