    Abel 7, Losers try for IM title in playoff
Abel VII and Born Losers
will clash at 1 p.m. Saturday to
determine who will meet
Kappa Alpha Psi Sunday for
the all-University
championship in the intramural
basketball tournament.
The two emerged as the
champions of the dormitory
and independent brackets
respectively in a night of upsets
Wednesday.
Abel VII faced the prospect
of having to beat Kennedy,
twice in succession to win the
championship. Kennedy had
lost only once this year, but
Abel VII responded winning
Tuesday 47-44 and then
coming back to take a 50-45
victory Wednesday.
Born Losers faced the same
prospects and they responded
with convincing wins by 21
and 22 points respectively to
capture the independent
bracket championship.
Kappa Alpha Psi, the
fraternity champion, has a by
in the first round of the
playoff to determine the
University champion. They
won their division by defeating
Delta Upsilon, 73-58.

Abel VII rode a 30 point
second half to victory in
defeating Kennedy for the
second night in a row.
Bob Wolfe, who had 19
points the night before, scored
25 to lead the winners.
