Black branches whip the darkened air but in frustration I only care unable to stop the storm at all I stand trembling and recall what grandfather once said about steeples. "High spires, if built with pain can withstand the wind and rain; will in strong gales never fall if they heed the stormy call and oblige the forcefull strain . of the angry wind and rain. But steeples built of rigid state cannot sway with love nor hate but meet the crying wind with pride and will fall, having never tried its windy ways."
