Navy officer team to come in March The Navy's Officer Information Team will be visiting the University March 3 and 4 to assist prospective graduates interested in military service. The Officer Information Team will be composed of Naval Aviation, Line, Wave, and Nurse officers and will be available to students in the Placement Office. The Navy offers various programs to graduating men and women including duty with aviation squadrons, surface ships, submarines, engineering battalions and many others. Qualification tests for the various programs will be administered while the team is on campus. Applications will be taken through Tuesday in the Nebraskan office in the Nebraska Union basement. Interviews will be March 2 before the Publications Committee. This committee, which expires in July, recommended that the university president be given ultimate decision-making power while the delegated authority of student and faculty groups be withdrawn by the board of regents. INTIMIDATION OF A university community member by force or threat is a misdemeanor in Washington. In Oklahoma, non-students who refuse to leave the premises when requested are quilty of a misdemeanor. The Virginia Legislature directed that anyone who refuses to leave the institution's premises on request is guilty of a misdemeanor. Before the president of a Virginia university or college can call in civil authorities to enforce order, the governing body of the institution must pass a resolution requesting the action. The 01 R report speculated that the drop in legislation might be partly because 39 states held legislative sessions in 1 970, compared to 47 in 1 969.
