One of the three shells obtained by the club is on display in front of the Nebraska Union. Baseball team begins workouts Nebraska's baseball team, which was in t . thick of the Big Eight race last year, opened drills Monday for the 1971 campaign. I don't like to be pessimistic about the season," said coach Tony Sharpe, "but I don't want to be overly optimistic either. "They're talking like we should win the Big Eight without any problems this year. We probably lost more personnel than did anybody else in the entire league. The Big Eight was young last year." The Cornhuskers, who open their season March 29 at Houston, lost seven lettermen off the 1970 squad. March 29-at Houston (2); March 30--at Houston; March 3!--at Houston; April 1 at Houston (2); April 2 --at Houston; April 3--at Houston; April 9 -At Colorado (2); April 10--at Colorado; April 12--South Dakota State at Nebraska; April 16- Kansas State at Nebraska (2); April 17-Kansas State at Nebraska; April 23-at Kansas (2); April 24-at Kansas; April 30-Oklahoma State at Nebraska (2); May 1- Oklahoma State at Nebraska; May 7--at Oklahoma (2); May8--at Oklahoma; May 14-Missouri at Nebraska (2); May 15-Missouri at Nebraska; May 21--lowa State at Nebraska (2); May 22-Iowa State at Nebraska. Nebraska wrestlers will be seeking revenge this weekend when they meet Ft. Hayes tonight and Wyoming Saturday in the Coliseum. "I'm hoping this will be my lucky seventh," said wrestling coach Orval Borgialli. "I'm still looking for my first victory over Wyoming in the seven years I've been at Nebraska. I came to Nebraska after coaching in Whoming and it would be nice to beat them." Bobby Orta, Nebraska's premier 118 pounder, will be seeking personal revenge when he meet.; Mike Holliman of Ft. Hayes tonight. Holliman was the only man to defeat Orta in dual competition last year. ' Orta has lost twice this season, but he h?s beaten the 118 lb. wrestler from Indiana State who the week before had tied last year's NCAA champion. Nebraska's 3-4 record this season includes victories over Colorado and Indiana State. "Both Indiana State and Colorado were in the top 20 before we got through with them," said Borgialli. "Wyoming is usually pretty salty and I'm sure it will be a good match. leading the Huskers this year have been Jim Haug and Joe George with 7-0 and 6-1 records respectively. "I'm hopeful Tom Lotko can come back and replace Doug Erickson at the 142 lbs. slot," Borgialli said. "Erickson is scholastically ineligible for the second semester and Lotko has been out with bruised ribs. Other than that, out lineup is pretty well set." Match times are 7:30 p. m. tonight with Ft. Hayes and 7:30 p.m. Saturday with Wyoming. Regents' meeting The Board of Regents will meet at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 6 in room 202 of the Nebraska Union.
