BEER TALK by Ed McMahon In w hich the candid connoisseur answers questions about Beer, and the drinking of same, DEAR ED: I'm burned up because after a weekend romp in the woods, I forgot to put a leftover 6-pak of Budwciscr in the refrigerator. Everybody says you can't chill beer twice, so what should I dot ' FUMING DEAR FUMING : First, cool off, pal. Then cool off that Bud to your heart's content (or about 40). There's no problem, because a really good beer like Budwciscr is just as good when you ice it twice. But I can't resist mentioning that there is an easy way to avoid the situation altogether. Just make sure there's no Bud left overf KING OF BEERS, ttHUS-IUSeH.mfc . ST. 10UIS . HCWARR . 10SMGCUS TAMPA . HOUSTON . COLUMBUS . "Coach Devaney has done it all," says Johnny. And Wednesday the Husker boss was honored for his ac complishments by being named National Coach of the Year by Football News. He had , previously been named Big Eight Coach of the Year by both Associated Press and United Press International. "The reason we keep winning is because of coach Devaney," assured Rodgers. "He's just got something in him that makes you want to play hard for him." Rodgers thought a moment and tried to explain what he meant. "Devaney is the type of fella that if you make a mistake, it doesn't hurt you because you feel sorry for yourself, but it hurts you because you feel bad about letting down coach Devaney. It's like when you do womething wrong you're doing it to Devaney and not yourself. "He's not the kind of coach to bitch at you if you do THURSDAY, something wrong. Oh, he can drive you allright, but he'll usually sit down and talk to you about it. "Some coaches are like they're the President or some high member of Congress. They think you have to bow down to them each time you talk to them. But with Devaney, it's like we're all the same. He's always willing to talk and he's always willing to listen." That pretty well describes the winningest coach in the nation Big Red's Big Bob.
