"We desperately try to Im
press on them that it is a drug
and it will wear off," Hansen
said. "It may seem like an
eternity, but it will wear off
eventually."
One of the primary re
quirements for the LSD
rescuers is that they , have
complete confidence and trust
of those they try to help. '
"One of the greatest fears of
those freaking out is that they
will be busted," Rice ' said.
"They can be sure there will be
no repercussions from our
helping them."
The four men vowed never to
reveal the names of the people
they help.
"That would defeat our whole
purpose," Rfce said.
"Everybody should have a
place to go when they heed
help."
