    Union presents 'Times'
The Nebraska Union is pre
senting the Ewing Street Times
as the first selection of its
Coffee House Concert Series
Thursday at 8 p.m. in tha
Union.
The Times is billed as a
well-rounded, good-time group.
Chris McE!roy chairman of
the Union Coffee House Com
mittee,, says, "the main idea
behind the series is to get
good low-priced entertainment
for a change." All five groups
scheduled in the series were
block-booked to hold down
costs.
An expected $1500 deficit will
be picked up by the Union,
according to Tom Lonnquist.

Admission to the concerts
will be 75 cents per person.
The rest of the series fol
lows: October 15-16: Bittersweet.
Duo from Atlanta. Sings folk
and folk-rock material from
sources as varied as Three
Dog Night and Bob Dylan.
November 19-20: Fats and
Dave. Dave Mcintosh, for
merly of the Kirby Stone Four,
and Fats Johnson, former lead
singer for the New Christy
Minstrels, combine music and
comedy.
February 4-5: Chuck Mit
chell. Folk singer in cabaret
tradition..
April 22-23: Chet Nichols.
Gifted guitarist who writes and
sings his own material.
