    Jim Koch injured at University

A University of Nebraska
student was severely kicked in
the saddle bronc competition at
the final performance of the
University of Nebraska's 12th
annual rodeo.
Jim Koch, who had been
granted a re-ride in the com
petition, was injured after
being thrown from his mount.
Although he was hospitalized
overnight, Koch sustained no
injuries.
Black Ilills State College,
Spearfish, S.D., won the boy's
division of the rodeo at the final
performance Saturday night
The South Dakota cowboys
compiled 548 points with Iowa
State University placing second

for second and third were
Chuck Balvanz of Iowa State
and Tom Miller of Black Hills
State with 129 points each.
Patti Mattox of Kansas State
won all-around cowgirl honors

Vicki Dahl of Black Hills State
with 115 and Kathy Kary of the
