ASUN elections Six candidates disqualified Miss NU semifinalists Six ASUN candidates, in eluding one presidential can didate, have been disqualified for the April 22 ASUN elec tions. The six disqualifications lower the number of ASUN. candidates to 147. ' All six students were disqualified for tailing to attend or be represented at a mandatory orientation meeting last March, according to ASUN Electoral Commissioner Glenn Nees. Dennis Bloom of Beta Theta PI Fraternity was disqualified as a presidential candidate. Bloom's disqualification leaves five students In the ASUN presidential race. The other disqualified can didates Include: Roger Anderson, a first vice presidential candidate. Scott Moore and Michael Richardson, Arts & Sciences senatorial candidates. Rick Windle, an Engineer ing and Architecture senatorial candidate. Windle, however, is appealing his disqualification to the Electoral Commission. Lorenz Stelnhoff. an Agriculture Advisory Board candidate. : Nees said Tuesday that the names of four parties will ap pear on the election ballots. The parties and their presidential candidates are: New University, Randy Prier; Service Party, Ken Wald; University Coalition, Steve Hwald; and Youth Interna tional Party, Alan Siporin. Nees said that unlike previous year there will be only one balloting place on the City Campus a rented tent that will be placed on the closed portion of 14th Street. Voting on East Campus will be held at the East Union. After 5:30 p.m. on election day, all voting for both campuses will be held at the Nebraska Union. Nees also said that any ASUN candidate wishing to withdraw their name from the ballot should contact the ASUN office by Thursday. Eleven coeds have been chosen as semifinalits in the r97 Miss University of Ne ' aska pageant. Miss University of Nebraska will be selected April 19 at 8 p.m., in the Nebraska Union ballroom, according to Cindy Vondrak, pageant chairman. Semifinalists are Laurie Brehm, Patricia Campbell, Priscilla Chain, Catherine Cherry, Becky Knipe, Diane Koltes, Nancy Martens, Bonnie Naughten, Mary Ann Suess, Linda Thurber and Susan Vak iner. The preliminaries were March 15.
