These students are at tempting to establish a world record of 144 consecutive hours of card playing, according to Bernard L. Birkel, one of the organizers. The game chosen? "Hearts, because it's not boring," he said. WHILE THE three decks of cards are becoming worn, the four players and Birkel were increasingly optimistic as the game neared the 124th hour "There have been many doubters that we could establish the record," Birkel said. "Even the players had doubts until the 72nd hour. Since then it's been all downhill." HEIP WANTED Wanted: Live-In maid. Apply In parson. 54S No. 23. 4.
