The school approved Obion's ven ture and supplied some money and camera equipment for it. The University is now slightly disen chanted with Obion and the excursion, but the parents of several of the group's members have given their blessing to the trip, according to Obion. "My father said if his business got any worse, he might come along and join us," Obion said. He went to visit his parents before embarking for the Southwest. Although they were a little anxious, they did approve the idea. "Oftentimes, parents lack confidence in their children." Obion said. "They are closed minded some of the time, although I can talk with my parents." One of the girls, called Crazy Lady by the group, said her mother approved the trip too. "My mother said that she brought me up to use my own mind and if this was what I wanted, I should do it," Crazy Lady said. "My mother said she always wanted to do this as a young girl, but never had the nerve." Another of the group's members, called Skipper, said the group is "just trying to find a place we like." When asked why we joined the group, Skipper replied, "Because I belong here." Nebraska was asked why she joined the group. "Because I'm happy," she said. "What more can you ask for? I'm happy."
