The Hitcliin' Post in n. nth law DrOD 011(1 tld(I lllOrG Fashion show planned by University Dames i efficient process Drop and Add is a more efficient process this semester, according to the man at the other end of that long line, Gerald D. Bowker, Director of Registration and Records. A new arrangement of Drop and Add processing tables in the Nebraska Union ballroom has streamlined the process, Bowker said Tues day. For students going through Drop and Add the procedure is unchanged from previous semesters see your ad viser, fill out forms In triplicate, then stand in line. By the end of the week, most students have been processed, and the time ap pointment cards used in the first part of the week are dispensed with, Bowker said. Drop and Add began on the first day of classes. Monday, September 22, is the last day to add a course, and drops ire allowed until October 15. There are no plans to radically change the Drop and Add process next semester, though Bowker said he is always open to suggestions. He added that the pre registration system in troduced last spring has helped the University's academic departments to plan earlier and more ac curately for classes, thus reducing schedule conflicts. Also, more students pre registered and adjusted their schedules during free Drop and Add last May, Bowker said. The real scheduling pro blem lies deeper than the registration process. As long be be pro as there is a shortage of classroom space and teachers, there will schedule conflicts to resolved, Bowker said. While the building gram, and added faculty members have improved the situation, remodeling of ex isting classrooms and in creased enrollment are always a step ahead, he ad-ded. A Fall Fashion Show is planned for the first month ly meeting on the University Dames a University organi zation open to all U. of N. student wives. No registration Is needed for the fashion program to be shown Thursday, Sept. 23, at 7:30 p.m. in the Bran deis fifth floor auditorium. Appropriate clothes for the working wife, formal dresses, casual clothes and maternity wear will be fea tured, according to Mrs. Phyllis Peterson, speaker. A social hour will follow the show.
