According to Barb Ramsey, Chairman of the Builder's Foundation Committee, the purpose of the contest is to publicize the work of the University of Nebraska Foundation. It is an attempt to make students remember the Foundation after gradua tion. SHE CONTINUED that the Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides over 600 University scholarships. It also makes grants for other University activities. Five contest finalists have been chosen. They are Jayne Andrews, Claudia Halstead. Donna Lieneman, Alice Pieper, and Ruth Ann Schulenberg. THE WINNER will be chosen strictly on the basis of her legs, Miss Ramsey con tinued. Voting will take place all next week in the Nebraska Union. Numbered pictured of the contestants legs will be displayed at the polling place. Vote will be by number only. The pictures of four of the contestants aire shown above. Unfortunately, the fifth was not available. VOTES VlLL cost ten cents, Miss Ramsey said. All proceeds will go to the Foun dation. The winner will receive a trophy and serve as hostess at Foundation functions through the next year, she added. Robinson, pro fessor of English, was named associate dean of the College, effective July 15, 1969, suc ceeding Dr. Robert L. Hough who asked to return to full time teaching and research in the English department. Dr. Harry L. Weaver, assistant deao of the College since 1963, was named associate dean of the College, effective Dec. 1. DR. NICHOLAS Babchuk, professor of sociology, was named chairman of the department of sociology, ef fective Jan. 27, 1969, suc ceeding Dr. Alan Bates who asked to return to full-time teaching and research. Dean Weaver joined the University faculty in 1946 as instructor of botany. He was named assistant professor in 1947, associate professor in 1949, professor in 1959 and assistant dean in 1963. Dr.. Robinson joined the University's English depart ment in 1964 as an associate professor and was elevated to professor in 1967. A native of London, England, he holds B.A. and MA. degrees from University College at Oxford. England and a Ph.D. from the University of Glasgow. HE RECEIVED a Woods Faculty Fellowship in 19641 and Is the author of two nj books: "English Theatrii Literature. 1559-1900 Bibliography" and "So: Nineteenth Century Stri Ballads About the Theatrt He has been commissioned! write two volumes on j Shakespearean drama.
