It wasn't acted, it was shown: students filed into the lounge, lights dimmed, and the projector ran. The film was an analysis of student riots, Student Action. It wasn't filmed at Ne braska it was filmed at other universities through out the nation. Student Action at the Uni versity this semester has not taken the form of stu dent riots but rather has followed the course of reso lutions presented to the Re gents "for consideration." However, there were some signs of life this se mester: a few people did say "no" to administration, a few people did say "no" to the Vietnam War, a few people did say "yes" to academic freedom, and many people said "I don't give a damn" and they didn't. However, strides were made in student aware ness: long-haired "radi cals" were joined by "straights" in an anti-napalm demonstration last November: University stu dents and faculty formed a local chapter of Concerned Democrats bent on peace in Vietnam; and several faculty members and stu dents took a public stand opposing the right wing factions of the University and state. And many people still said "I don't give a damn" and they didn't. Gunners still seem to be more interested in Union that in Senate and most freshman still don't know who Dean G. Robert Ross is and most students still aren't aware that there is something out there beyond the University, but 900 peo ple did vote in the Vietnam referendum and IDA did say "no" and a Centennial College is going to be a reality next year. mm Mml NAPALM protestors '. demonstrate against .
