al Collegiate record for the
steeplechase, McCubbins
has again become one of
the national leaders in the
event. He was an all-America
selection for the run
last year after finishing
fourth in the NCAA with his
9:00.4.
He calls the steeplechase
his favorite event and he
has plenty of experience up
and down to derive a basis
for comparison. He has run
everything from the 880 on
out, owning the Big Eight
record for the indoor two
mile and the outdoor three
mile, as well as being the
Conference's cross country
champion.
