Pupils at the LARC School at Lincoln got a double-barreled benefit from the Uni versity of Nebraska Rodeo Club-sponsored Centennial Rodeo at the State Fairgrounds this week-end. LARC School will receive 10 percent of the gate receipts from the three-performance event, that drew collegiate con testants in both mens and women divisions from around the state. Giving a first-hand view to LARC students of one of the horses used in the Rodeo are Sally Jack son and Rodeo club member, Tom Cunningham. The scores earned the Huskers a narrow 8-7 win over Oklahoma, a 9-5te margin over Iowa State, and a 10-4 thumping of Missouri. Lost One ' Going into the Saturday round the Huskers had lost only one meet to Wichita State in the season opener. Oklahoma State, last year's Big Eight champion, was one of the NU victims. The Cowboys were hit at Kraus Champ Of Ping-Pong Don Kraus of Sargent, Neb., won the First Interna tional Ping-Pong Tournament sponsored by the University's Intervarsity Christian Fellow ship. The frosh netmen slammed Midwestern Col lege, 9-0, winning all six singles and three doubles matches. Only John Hendry needed a third set to cap ture his victory. Hendry prevailed over Midwestern's Pete Sheffield 6-4, 7-9, 64. The other vic torious Cornhuskers were Dave Whitef ield, Tom Wiese, William Fink, Pat Tully and Denny Bloom. Midwestern also found it tough going against the Huskers on the baseball dia mond, losing both ends of a doubleheader, 3-4 and 3-11. Catcher Jack Galusha provided the power in the first game, blasting a three run homer in Nebraska's half of the sixth inning. The rest of Coach Clay ton Luther's team joined Galusha in the second game in a 12-hit assault on the Midwestern moundsmen. The Cornhuskers dropped a pair of games Friday and a third Saturday. The Cowboys edged Ne braska 3-1 and 4-1 Friday and shut them out 3-0 Sat urday.
