Stephen E. Morris, chair man of the E-Week queen committee, said three at tendants and the queen will be selected to reign over E-Week festivities, April 24-28. The traditional E-Week open house will be held April 27. Finalists The finalists for E-Week are: Deborah Cushman, freshman in Teachers Col lege; Nyla Soukup, sopho more In Teachers College; Trish Sultzbaugh, sopho more in Teachers College; Martha Gottschalk, fresh man in the College of Arts and Sciences. Cindy Bartlett, junior in Teachers College; Nancy Berne, freshman In the Col lege of Arts and Sciences; Sherri Adams, Junior in the College of Arts and Sciences; Vicki Lynn Hak anson, sophomore in the College of Arts and Sci ences; Susie Highland, jun ior in the College of Agri culture and Home Econom ics: Marian Kay Wisnieski, freshman in the College of Arts and Sciences. According to Morris the candidates were picked on personality, grace, poise, and beauty. They were picked by J3 judges com prised of two from each en gineering department, one from Blueprint, and the two co-chairman of the queen committee. Queen ,Three Alternates "The Queen and three al ternates have been chosen by the judges and will be announced during E-Week", Morris said. Merlyn Witt, co-chairman of Publicity said there would be approximately 50 displays from the five en gineering departments. "E-Week competition is based on athletic events, quality of open houses, tick et sales for the banquet, and Blueprint sales between the engineering departments," Witt said. Witt added that they will be presenting a television program on April 27 over ETV showing a display from each department (All meetings are at the Nebraska Union unless oth erwise noted.) Interest In Student Welfare Minnie Lussetto said her "interest in student welfare and experience as an Associ ate and in other activities" qualify her for a Senate posi tion. She stressed that more "in dividual contact" should exist between students and sena tors. Several Student Activities Jane Palmer said she has been Involved in several stu dent activities on East campus and is experienced in student government. She added she has "a sin cere interest in the College of Home Economics." Constituents Responsible "The students' are my pri mary concern. Roger Stark ( said and he is "ready to deal with issues from the stand point that his constituents are responsible individuals." Stark has served as presi dent of the Senate Associates t this vear. j Three Different Homes Bob Schanou feels he is qualified to serve in Senate because of his experience in three different living units and his experience on the Ag riculture College Executive Board. Loren Schulze said he feels ! qualified to fill the Senate post because he "knows many peo-; pie and their views and my; views would be a good repre- j sentation of those views." J A desire to work toward a: better University motivated j Gene Thomas to enter the. Senate race. Thomas said he, urges all students to vote in the upcoming elections be-: cause "the future of student! government may be riding on this campaign. ASUX On Threshold John Wirth said he feels ASUN is "on the threshold of j great things for the future."; Wirth said he has valuable ; ideas and can play a definite role in implementing the Bill of Rights.
