Greene Captures 60 In NCAA Indoors Nebraska's Charlie Greene became the first individual three-time winner in NCAA Indoor championship history when he streaked to victory in the 60-yard dash Saturday. Hampered by a leg injury for much of the indoor sea son, Greene matched his own meet record set last year witft a 6.0 clocking. Shored Spotlight Greene shared the spot light with Jim Ryun, who raced to a new meet mile record of 3:58.6. Leading all the way, the 19 year - old Kansas sopho more finished almost 40 yards ahead of Kent State's Sam Bair in eclipsing the old NCAA indoor record of 4:03.4 on the 11-lap Detroit track. The Nebraska basketball delegation journeyed to the mile-high campus to lose, 64-57, to a team that was bypassed in favor of the Huskers in consideration of a bid to the National In v i t a 1 1 o nal Tournament (NIT). Nebraska Bye The NTT, which started Saturday in New York, awarded the Huskers a bye through the first round. NU will play Marshall Monday. When the Buffs started pulling away from Nebras ka in the closing moments of play, the Boulder crowd chanted, "N . . . I . . . T," referring to the bid that was awarded to NU rather than Colorado. Kansas, Too Nebraska, not the only good team in the Big Eight to lose at Boulder Kansas did earlier trailed 37-35 at the half.
