Tickets On Sale May 16
For Full Time Students
Full time students now on
the University of Nebraska
campus will be permitted to
purchase student football tick
ets during the days of May
16th through May 20th at the
NU Coliseum.
Non-full time students now
on the University campus will
be able to purchase tickets in
the fall just as would new stu
dents and entering freshmen.
Students desiring single
seats must go to the ticket of
fice at the Coliseum or to a
table on the floor of the Coli
seum on the designated days,
present their ID Cards, and
pay ten dollars for the ticket.
Each student will be given a
receipt and the ticket office
will retain a record of the pur
chase. Students will draw a
lottery number at the time of
payment.
Orders will be filled with
the lowest lottery number be
ing filled first. Upon filling the
ticket order, the ticket will be
attached to the card which
was retained by the ticket of
fice to be picked up next fall.
Block Sections
For block sections, a repre
sentative for a group must
present ID cards and ten dol
lars for each peron in h i s
block. A receipt will be re
turned to the representative
for each student in the block.
The remaining procedure will
be similar to that for single
seats.
Block orders will be filled
just as the single seats with
block sections being treated as
a single seat in the lottery.
During a given time in the
fall, all students must come to
the ticket office and upon pre
sentation of the receipt and
ID Card, he will be given his
ticket.
Ticket orders will be
checked against the list of stu
dents receiving free admission
to the games Athletes, band
members, concession sellers,
etc. These people will not be
permitted to buy a student
ticket.
Any student not participat
ing in the lottery during the
specified time must purchase
his ticket just as a new stu
dent in the fall.
Current graduate students
and seniors expecting to be
come graduate students will
be handled just as other stu
dents. New Students
Since it is contemplated that
the spring sale will utilize all
of the available east stadium
seats, all new students and
freshmen will have to sit in
the north and south stadiums,
with the south stadium being
used first.
Block sales will be avail
able in the fall, but no lottery
will be used for their sale.
They will be assigned on a
first-come, first-serve basis.
Students purchasing tickets
in the spring who do not at
tend the University next fall
will be permitted a full refund
if the ticket office is notified
in writing by September 1st.
Tickets refunded will be sold
to upperclassmen buying tick
ets in the fall.
Students applying for re
funds after September 1st, but
before the first game, will be
refunded $8.00. Students apply
ing for refunds after the first
home game, but before the
second game, will be refunded
$5.00. No refunds will be given
after the the second home
game.
Nebraska's ticket office will
be closed from Tuesday, May
10, until Monday, May 16, di
rector Jim Pittenger an
nounced. The staff will use the week
of privacy to compile all the
information regarding season
ticket reorders In an effort to
begin processing new orders.
''The way the mail man
swamped the girls Monday
and Tuesday with hundreds
of renewals, I'm sure they
could use a vacation," Jim
grinned. "But we're going to
lock the doors and devote full
attention to tabulating where
we stand, so we can start pro
cessingticket orders for new
season seats."
Pittenger estimated Monday

90 of the 1965 season ticket
holders had renewed.

Huskers To Play Buffs
In Three-Game Series

The University of Nebraska
golf team will take a 10-6-1
dual meet record into the Big
Eight Conference golf tourna
ment this weekend at Co
lumbia, Mo.
Nebraska's five man team
will consist of Charlie Bomer,
Bob Lau, Chuck Sweetman,
Nick West, and Bill Messick.
Last year the Huskers fin
ished sixth in the conference
meet.
"I think we should move up
possibly one or two notches
depending on how well the
boys do as a group," said
Husker golf coach Harry
Good.
A total of 54 holes will he
played in the Big Eight Tour
nament with 36 of them on
Friday and 18 on Saturday.
The tournament will be held
on the Missouri U golf course.

Tony Sharpe. "We've got our

we can still win the title if
things go our way."
Nebraska plays a three
game series with Colorado in
Lincoln this week. Friday's
doubleheader will start at 1:30
p.m. Saturday's game will be
gin at 11:00 a.m., prior to the
Spring Football game at Sea
crest Field which starts at
2:00.
Sharpe also announced the
batting order for the Huskers'
for this week.
Tony Sharpe, Jr. will be the
lead-off man for the Huskers.
Tony Junior will play second
base. John Roux, short-stop,
will be the number two man.
Bob Churchich will take the
number three post.
Coach Sharpe explained that
Colorado will put two left
handers against the Huskers
so Sharpe's strategy includes
putting three right-handers
against them.
Sharpe also said that Clay
ton Luther will catch for
Hergenrader in the first game
of Friday's doubleheader but
that Wayne Kissler will catch
for Stickels in the nightcap.
