The two-day conference, sponsored by the Nebraska Home Economics Association, Is a followup to the American Home Economics Association (AHEA) conference held in Chicago last March. The purpose of the Nebras ka workshop are to acquaint home economists with the methods of working with the under privileged and to en courage home economists to assume greater leadership in meeting the needs of families caught in the poverty cycle. Three speakers featured at the Nebraska conference are Dr. Allison Davis, professor or education at the University of Chicago; Mrs. Naomi Brill, assistant professor of the University Graduate School of Social Work; and economics consultant of the Department of Health Education and Welfare in Washington, D.C.
