Su miner Nebraskan: A Thinking Adventure The Summer Nebraskan Is a newspaper unto itself, en tirely separate from the Daily Nebraskan, which is pub lished during the regular school year. This summer paper, which will be published for the eight weeks of summer session, is designed for adventure and experimentation. The adventure arises from the use of new and different content materials, unlike those of the regular 'news' paper. The experimentation will be used in the page layout. New and different layouts will be used to 'see how they look' and their effect on the reading public. This pap?r will be devoted more to the 'depth' ap proach of news, rather than the everyday reporting job usually characterizing the Nebraskan. By depth is meant a story which is well-backgrounded and researched. Contrasted to the on-the-spot coverage story, the depth story presents a full view of a subject or situation. The idea for a depth reporting class at the University was originated by R. Neale Copple, who will be an adviser to the paper this summer. Editing the papei will be Priscilla Mullins, a senior majoring in journalism; and handling advertising and cir culation will be Business Manager Holly Spence, a June graduate from the School of Journalism. Your comments and criticisms are invited, for this is your newspaper. Suggestions for news areas overlooked will also be welcome. It is the hope of the staff that this paper will serve a purpose for you, the reader. We hope to bring you plea sure in reading and thinking. imiii iiim ii(iiiiitiitiTJiMifijfriiiijirrriiij(rfitiiiiiriiiMiiiiiiiiiiiiiinrifiiiiiiiiMtii)iiiirrijiitiiTiiiiiJitiiiiiifiii(i itiiiiiiiMiiiffiiMitiiiiiiiiiuiiiriiiiriMiiiifiiiiiL DON'T FORGET llPERKY'S Pizza Place 422-7720 I I At 11th & Q ( I -EAT HERE or CARRY OUT- WE DELIVER AROUND CITY CAMPUS ( illlllltllllllllllllllllllllllllHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIM 3 iiiiiitjiiiiiititiiiftiiiciiiiiitiiiit ci 1 1 t 1 1 1 1 1 ici iiiMitiiiitaiiiiiiiiiiirizsritiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiifiiiitiiiiiiiitiJiiciatiiititiiiiiciiiiiitiiiiii cr rn i iJ ON THE WATER l BOATING and SKIING !
