The garters are red with a white lace trim and are be ing sold by Gamma Lambda, the University band fratern ity. The garters also have a Cotton Bowl pin on them, and cost a dollar. The fraternity is also selling white garment bags which have a University emblem on on them in red. They cost $1.75. The items will be on sale through Dec. 10. Representa tives from the group will be visiting all living units be tween now and that time to take orders for the items, and will also have a booth in the Student Union where they will be selling the items. Cigaret In Chute Calls Fi ret rucks Several units from the Lin coln Fire Department were rushed to Cather Hall last night after afire in the chute set off the automatic alarm system. The building was evaccated by a regular fire drill proce dure which had been practiced earlier this fall. Staff mem bers said the fire was appar ently caused by a cigaret in the chute. Double Elimination Tourney Starts Tomorrow For Quiz Bowl Teams Quiz Bowl begins Round Two of the double-elimination tournament tomorrow. There will be twelve teams in six matches. 7 p.m. The Purple Gougers vs. Fedde Hall 7:25 p.m. Sigma Nu vs. Tower Titans 7:50 p.m. Gustavson II B vs. The Pups 8:15 p.m. Love Memorial Hall vs. Alpha Gamma Sig ma II 8:40 p.m. Gamma Phi Beta I vs. Kappa Kappa Gamma 9:05 p.m. Theta Xi I vs. Del ta Gamma I Teams in matches one, two and three must check in by 7 p.m. Teams in matches four, five and six must check in by 8:15 p.m. In Round Two, all teams will be slated for competition, even those who failed to ap pear for Round I competition. Thus, all teams will have the opportunity to compete, llierefore, .J seven - matches may be scheduled at times to insure the completion of matches in time for the Big 8 Tournament. The final championship match, open to the public, is scheduled for April 29. It win be held in the Sheldon Me morial Art Gallery Auditori um and will be televised live over KUON-TV. The winning team will receive a trophy. Nebraska's Big 8 team members will be announced the following week.
